Reeds Bay afternoon

It’s easy to miss Reeds Bay, but it’s well worth seeking out. It’s on the west coast of Barbados, and it’s never busy – head north past John Moore’s Bar and park up just after the church.

You might not be able to rent a sun lounger, but you can probably buy a cold drink.

It’s a great place to swim or snorkel, especially as you often find turtles swimming a few feet away from the shore here.

There’s not a lot of shade, so bring your sun block, and maybe – if you can rock that look – a big, pink hat.

Sandals on sand.

Child walking on beach.
